I read this Article in National Geographic about 7 billion people on our planet soon. The resource shortage, overcrouding, dirty environment and suffering species and people. Is there any solution to this problem? What can we do?

China has the one baby policy but i dont think that is the route we need to take. We need to educate people in countries that are overpopulating about sex and procautions you can take to avoid diseases and pregnacies. About the dirty environment, we need take precautions and use resouces wisely. Renewable resources rather than nonrenewable resources.
ReplyDeleteI think all the developed countries and the developing countries will have to start thinking about population issue as soon as possible. Otherwise it will be too late when the environmental degredation other factors might make this planet unfit for human life. Thanks AJ!
ReplyDeleteChina has a one baby policy. however, you can have more than one child if you pay extra tax. which is logical in my opinion since it grants non-poverty.. many people are in perverty/starvation because they have too many children.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, in africa, where many parents really can't afford to support their children. and many end up starving to death.
another method is to have every girl under the age of 18 to be on birth control. this might seem extremely illogical, but it can definitely help a lot with (once again) poverty and starvation. Also over-population since generations would have a larger gap in between.
but the problem with that is Religion.. many religions believe that humanity shouldn't interfere with God's plans.
i don't know what else to input, these are just some of my opinions
